About Our Dojo

Our dojo was founded in January 2026 by Todd Sensei, who moved to the Shreveport area the previous year for work. With a lifelong dedication to Aikido, Todd Sensei saw an opportunity to build a place where this art could be practiced, taught, and shared within the local community.

Teaching Aikido is more than instruction—it is a way of fostering discipline, awareness, and mutual respect. This dojo was created to offer a supportive, inclusive environment where students of all backgrounds can train safely, grow at their own pace, and develop both physically and mentally. Our goal is to make Aikido accessible in Shreveport while honoring its traditions and principles.

Whether you are completely new to martial arts or continuing a long-standing practice, we welcome you to train with us.

Schedule

Tuesdays and Thursday: 6 pm-8:30pm

Sundays: 1pm-3pm

Getting Started

If you are interested in trying class, please contact us prior to your first class at shreveportaikido@gmail.com or on the contact us section of the website! We look forward to seeing you on the mat!

Pricing

Currently, classes cost $100/month with discounts for active-duty military, first responders, veterans, and LSU students/faculty/staff.

There is no limit to the number of classes you can attend each month and no contracts.

Visiting the Shreveport/Bossier area? Our mat fee is $10 dollars.
